SWIPE ➡️➡️➡️ — When I saw that @dionysusbrewingco put out a beer called HAZY MAZZY, I knew I had to grab a can. @sarahwebster and her family adopted a 6 year old Corgi named MAIZIE back in Connecticut and had her for over ten years. She passed away before I came around, but I’ve heard stories for years. They loved that dog. I know this beer wasn’t brewed in her memory or anything, but it’s pretty cool to have the same name (albeit with a different spelling).
I’m all about the stouts and porters right now, and if you know me, you know I can never turn down cannoli. @superfluxbeer did what every brewery should do, and put massive amounts of cannoli in a porter. Needless to say it was sweet sweet nectar, especially on a cold winter day. If @trilliumbrewing makes a Cannoli dessert stout, don’t worry Superflux, you made it first ;) ~ Superflux Beer Co. This Cherry Hibiscus 🍒🌺 Super Slurp from @junkyardbrewing is indeed Merry & Bright. 🎄✨
It’s a fruited sour brewed with lactose and vanilla beans and oh so delicious! If you’re not a sour fan, these fruited sours with lactose are a great way to get into the sour movement. 🍻

@treehousebrewco AAAlterrr Ego! What a beautiful beer. It tastes fresh to me. Whatever that means. It's fruity. But not specifically tropical or citrus. Just fruity. I get a bit of licorice flavor just after the swallow. This is really good.
The following beer is my first from both @sloopbrewingco and @barrierbrewingco! I love getting to try out brews from new breweries and what better way than to try two at once?! Let's check out what I thought. Shoutout to @thebeerbroker for this can!
Name: Barrier / Sloop Mars Patrol 🚀
Brewery: Sloop Brewing, Elizaville, New York ⛵
Style: New England IPA
Alcohol: 6.5% 📊
Poured at 42°F from a 16oz can (canned 02Oct18) into a Rastal Craft Master Grand glass. Allowed to warm up to 45°F before reviewing. Consumed on 06Dec18.
TASTE: Strong waves of orange, lemon, and tangerine sweetness first flow in. Mild mango, guava, peach, cream, lime, and oat flavors bring more complexity. A mild wheat maltiness joined by subtle flavors of grass and white tea along along with hints of pine and earthy hops enter lastly.
NOTE: I am beyond impressed by this collab. I loved the uniqueness and complexity of the citrus that dominated the profile. A mild creaminess and maltiness brough a perfect balance to the hop profile as one expects from this style. In addition, I was blown away that there was no bitterness from this hop bomb. If this beer is any indication of the quality that both of these breweries put out, then consider me a fan of each! 🍻

Happy Holidays in a bottle! Bourbon barrel aged scotch ale from @foundersbrewing Sweet, deep, and complex, with an oak finish. A terrific spin on the classic dirty bastard scotch ale. 📸@ifloeter
I was able to grab cans of Leggo My Ego (8%) Double IPA (with maple syrup and lactose sugar) which had just been released the week before when I visited @azwilderness in November (in #collaboration with @welcomechickenanddonuts). It pours a dark/brownish gold with lots of (brown) sugary sweet and some malty notes on the nose. It drinks great - much more reserved than a lot of the ‘breakfast-y’ IPAs I’ve tried, with lots of that ‘maple syrup’ flavor without being overbearing - the balance is excellent: it’s lightly hoppy with a little malt, some syrupy sweetness and a really smooth/clean finish that hides the booze extremely well. I think it’s a great beer; thanks to @alexsjerome for hanging; 4.25/5.
@hawkersbeer West Coast IPA 🏖
Can't get much better than this! Perfect 30C° summers day, pool side with an icy cold beer. This brew from @hawkersbeer is a great example of a West Coast IPA - Refreshing, hoppy, bitter, fruity and a lil piney. Honestly wouldn't know that it was sitting at 7.2% ABV. Brilliant! Cheers 🍻
