Journey along the coastline in search of dolphins, dugongs and green sea turtles with @tangaloomawatersports 🐠 💦 With full eco commentary provided to explain the habitats and behaviours of our local marine life.
This city has been on my wish list to visit for a while, so when my sis and family decided to move just south of Valencia, I knew a visit would be soon. To celebrate Forest’s 4th Birthday we went to @oceanografic_vl one of the worlds best aquariums and it was incredible. Also thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the stunning arts, science and culture park, where we took the opportunity to have a couples photo shoot. 😊
Exploring the Redwoods! What is an adventure without petting a few spiders?!

Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will💕 You remember that okay? (I’m also referring to myself here 😂) A day exploring the city is always something that brings me happiness & a new set of eyes & inspiration! 😍 My necklaces are from @madebymary of course! ✨🌈 I will share a close up in my stories! I love them so much & am getting quite the collection! #madebymary#theworthofwalls
Social media means something very different to me now than it did before we started traveling.
Then: it was a way to connect with friends I already knew.
Now: it is a way to connect with friends I’ve not yet met.
The combination of our our full-time traveling lifestyle, in addition to the work that I do leading healthy habit accountability groups has allowed me to connect with a pretty amazing base of women online.
It’s one thing to connect daily in our private group with encouragement and support, but the thing I really love is that I very truly could meet these women in real life at some point!
Nadyia and I have been connecting closely online for the past several months. She participated in my Water Challenge, my 12 Days of Fitness Challenge and has dove right in developing her habit of regular water, good food and exercise. In fact, the exercise program that I am currently doing (and was initially scared to take on) is because she (and several of her friends in our group) decided to take it on first. I love the way we can challenge and courage each other to grow and face fears!
This last week my digital and physical worlds came together when my family got to meet up with Nadyia’s family (@life.beyond.scrubs) for a day at the beach. It was so fun to spend the afternoon watching our husbands visit, see our kids play in the sand and learn more about what God has put on each of our hearts for the coming year. Thank you Nadyia for sharing the day with us and for being an encouraging part of my life. .
Social media carries a lot of power but I’m determined to wield that power for good, to use this tool for building up and bringing together, rather than tearing down and pushing apart.
What about you? Has social media been a tool for good in your life? Do you have a group of women that you are accountable to for your healthy habits? Have you met any of you IG friends in real life? How did it go?
I was a bit worried we had made a mistake deciding not to take a pushchair with us to Amsterdam earlier this month but we all actually managed really well. Getting everywhere obviously took longer because we went at toddler pace, factoring in time to jump on as many shapes as we could find, pausing to wave at strangers and detouring to chase pigeons but it was actually really nice to walk around rather than drive. Lily did amazingly well considering. She obviously got a bit tired towards the end of the day and needed to be carried a few times but I’m amazed at how much her little legs did!
I won’t lie though, walking that much was a bit of a shock to my poor feet! We’re so used to driving everywhere it means that even on a day when we’re quite active doing errands or going to the park or soft play we barely hit 5000 steps in comparison to the 12000 we were doing in Amsterdam. It’s made me realise how much we rely on the car and how little walking we actually do day to day.
Combined with the realisation that my fitness levels are horrifically low after today’s relatively gentle soft play session, I’d really like to try and move about more. Any suggestions for low impact, fat friendly stuff I can do that isn’t REALLY REALLY boring?
(Side note, I don’t give a shit about weight loss, I’d just like to not feel like I’m going to collapse and die when my two year old makes me climb up to the big slide.)
We spent the weekend in the desert this week. 🌵
Mike’s nephew was married at the beautiful Sunrise Hills Ranch In Joshua Tree. We spent the week in Palm Springs enjoying the “crazy weather” they were having and spending a long overdue weekend with his sister and family. It was such a great weekend and the kids loved spending time with their “big kid” cousins. 💕
Desert life is adventurous and peaceful and beautiful, Mike loved growing up there and loves taking the kids back to visit. One day, we spend enough time and take the kids to enjoy all the things he grew up loving, like off road adventures, mastering the art of hunting, and craving the smell a desert rainstorm. 🌅

Nature has such a beautiful way of surprising us with its treasures. Even at places we’ve visited time and time again.

Have you ever been to Chicago?❄️ Better yet, ever been in the winter🌬it’s a bit...nippy😉
Chicago is a place that I know pretty well. With family still there, this was our most recent visit. It’s also where my husband and I met 😁We couldn’t help but go downtown🌆 and visit some old stomping grounds. It was also the first time my older daughter saw such tall buildings. I’m not sure if she was that impressed 🤷♀️ She was mostly on the lookout for someone selling German pretzels 🥨on the street. She did actually luck out! We found a German Christmas market!

One of the things I love about my husband is that he will never ask someone ”what do you do?” Instead, he always asks ”what are you passionate about?” It's a much more expansive conversation starter and I love how it lights people up. So tell me what are you passionate about?👇🏻(besides travel 😉 surprise me! )
