QUAINTRELLE BY ANGELA LISMAN
EXHIBITION AT FOX CREEK CELLAR DOOR
Quaintrelle: A woman who emphasises a life of passion expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, charm, and a cultivation of life’s pleasures.
Quaintrelle will be on display from February 1 – April 1, 2019, daily from 10am – 5pm, with an opening on Saturday, February 2, 5 - 7pm.
Angela is a self-taught photographer and artist, who has used art to inspire her journey through life after many years in domestic violence. Angela will have works in a variety of mediums, paintings in both watercolour and acrylic, as well as some of her brilliant photography. .
As she steps into her own self acceptance, she can sometimes stumble or even fall, yet although it can seem too rocky and hard at times, she is learning to surrender, to trusts and then release any of the uncertainty lingering behind. As she decides that her fears and self doubt are just fragments of her imagination she finds herself dancing towards a path of self love, a path that has been ready and waiting for her to find. 💜
The Kickstarter campaign has just ticked over $5000 with another 160 pre-orders of #throughereyes the book will go to print 😆. To place your pre-order head over to the kickstart link and ‘pledge’ your support, you won’t pay anything until March 10th. 💜💙🙌🏻

Earlier this week the Minister for Energy and Mining, The Hon Mr Dan van Holst Pellekaan, visited the Electorate of Finniss.
Minister van Holst Pellekaan is a fellow regional MP from the Electorate of Stuart which covers 374,000 sq/km and includes the Mid North agricultural region, all of the Flinders Ranges and the vast north-east pastoral region surrounded by the NT, QLD and NSW borders.
It was great to tour the Electorate of Finniss with the Minister and interesting to visit ‘Glenshera’, a sand mine run by Sibelco just out of Mount Compass. Thank you to the staff for giving us a comprehensive tour of the sand mine.

My Take On New York Baked Cheesecake
250g packed of plain sweet biscuits
I like to use yoyo’s
150g unsalted butter - more to your liking and biscuit texture
750g cream cheese - full fat and room temp - I use Philly
300ml carton of sour cream
215g castor sugar
1tsp vanilla extract or essence
2tbs plain flour
3 large eggs - room temp
Lemon rind to taste - approx 1-2 tbs
Dusting of Icing sugar to serve
Fresh raspberries to serve
Preheat your oven to 160*c
Grease and line a round springform pan.
Now you want to melt your butter while your crushing up your sweet plain biscuits, you can use a food processor or I like to place them in a large clean glad bag and crush them with a rolling pin into a fine crumb, place in a bowl, add your melted butter then combine.
Place your biscuit mix into your lined springform pan and then press firmly down using a glass or baking paper to create a firm biscuit base, place in the fridge to chill while you make your filling
In a large clean bowl combine your room temp softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and the lemon rind then beat until smooth.
Add your flour and then one at a time add your eggs until just combined.
Finally add your sour cream and fold through until just smoothly mixed.
Pour over the biscuit base and tap the tin evenly to spread your cheesecake filling.
Place in centre of oven and bake for approximately 1-1.5 hours, it will be cooked when risen and slightly gold with a small amount of wiggle in the centre.
Once cooked through leave in the oven with the door slightly open for approx 1-1.5 hours until cooled to prevent the cheesecake from cracking. Don’t worry if you get cracks you can hide this later plus it looks rustic and home style.
Once completely cool place on a wooden board or plate of choice with a dusting of icing sugar some fresh raspberries or berries of choice.
And your done, I love this as I’m a huge fan of cheesecake, it has simple flavours and a beautiful creamy texture. You can jazz it up with fresh fruit or a frosted topping...cont ⬇️
