When? Today. 🙌🏼 2019 is the year of no excuses for us all. We won't postpone progress and improvement until next week or even until tomorrow. 👉 The time to become better, stronger and healther is NOW! Today. Look back at how 2019 has started out for you. Have you postponed workouts? Have you told yourself "next week", or "tomorrow"? Then it's time to stop doing that right now and Get busy. 👍 If you made a promise to yourself to become better, then it's time get in the gym and make it happen! 👊 Smash that like if you’re dedicated to becoming better and follow @gymquotes.co 😊 #noexcuses#gymquotes#gymmotivation#fitnessmotivation
Picture it. You are walking in to the gym, you’re super motivated, ready to get some big lifts, crush some weights, put a hurtin on yourself.
You make your way to the weight room only to see freaking Susan 🙄 (that girl from work you don’t really like Bc she never shuts up). Susan has you cornered. 25 minutes later your momentum is gone, you spend 30 minutes going through the motions of a poo💩 workout.
Ugh😖😡 Here’s how avoid talkers at the gym:
1. Wear headphones.
Here’s a secret- 9 times out of 10 there’s no music on in my headphones. I’ve perfected the art of not even flinching and ignoring someone trying to get my attention. Just don’t make eye contact if you’re not quite good at that yet.
2. Try not to draw attention to yourself-
Showing skin= gym creeper central
Overly loud grunting to draw attention to your crazy heavy lift= convos with older lifters about their prime days.
Catch my drift?
3. Be intense, look intense - honestly most people don’t mean to be rude. Someone’s not going to bother you if you look super invested in your workout. Plus, you prob won’t make eye contact if your busy. Apparently eye contact is an invitation.
4. Be intentional in ending the convo- say hi, say bye. Be done. Here’s a good convo finisher “yea, great, imma finish my workout” but be sure to say it as you pop your headphones back in for dramatic effect or else it’s not as cool.
HOPE THIS HELPS!
To build up a daily practice. I came back from NYC inspired, but soon realized it was way harder to actually carve out the time of the working day to practice, especially when I was so new to it and wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. - BOY @ericernerstedt shares his biggest barrier when he first started practicing yoga 🙏🏼
🤸🏼♂️back with some more full body HIIT🤸🏼♂️ Contrary to popular belief, HIIT doesn’t have to be tons and tons of jumping or burpees!!! Workouts like this one will get your heart rate up and have you sweating💦 with out 800 jump squats (THANK GOD lol amiright)
Try this for your next full body workout and lmk what ya think!! Repeat the circuit 5 times through:
🔥20 single arm snatch-10 each side
🔥15 weighted v-ups
🔥20 overhead alternating lunge- 10 each side
🔥15 squat to plate curl
🔥15 swiss ball tucks

Do it for yourself 🔥
I joined the gym with sole intention of getting attention from girls. Back then, I always thought that a 6 pack can get me whoever I want. Now that I look back at it, I realised how bloody wrong I was 🙈
Trust me on this, girls don’t give a shit about your ripped physique. It’s all about the person you are, your personality and your A game 😎
I get asked by friends and acquaintances multiple times about the amount of attention I get for my physique. The bitter truth is I don’t ❌
Of course there are individuals of both sexes that really appreciate and respect the physique, specially considering where I came from, but in the end, all that matters is the person you are, not your abs or big ass arms 💪
In fact, on the basis of my personal experience, girls actually prefer some mass on a body and not sub 10% body fat dudes. The most important people in my life truly don’t give a shit about my body but about the person I am (which I frankly don’t understand because I think I’m boring AF)🤷🏻♂️
However, I am more than glad that this stupid thinking got me to enter the gym in the first place, changed my entire perspective about training and potentially made my life ❤️
Don’t impress them. Be yourself, and when you find someone as weird as you, it’ll all fall into place 🌹

Here we are back again 👌🏽😜
Single arm Dumbbell row is probably my favourite back exercise! 💪🏼 This movement targets the upper and lower back, shoulders, biceps, and hips while improving core stability!...
⭐️ For maximum benefits you must achieve full range of motion!...
⭐️ The single arm dumbbell row allows for the greatest stretch at the middle of the rep, thereby enabling massive fiber damage and accelerating hypertrophy!...

“There are times I am happy. There are times I am sad. But I always try to separate emotion from the need to reach for something stronger, deeper. And then no matter the emotion, I can reach for a stability that helps me accomplish what is the goal.” – Troy Polamalu
This little movements demand a lot of control and stability. It challenges core engagement to stand on one leg while moving the ball back and forth with the other leg. A very simple yet effective exercise. .
Training for physical and aesthetic goals can be fun when gone about through healthy methods, but FIRST AND FOREMOST your training eating should be about YOUR HEALTH. Take care of yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically because you DESERVE to be taken care of. When your efforts to eat well and exercise are grounded in that positivity, you will EMPOWER yourself through fitness and any physical aesthetic goals you’re seeking will simply be icing on the cake. Be proud of your efforts AND your physique through every phase.🖤⚡️💪🏼 www.kelseywells.com/app
Didn’t think I’d join in on this whole #10yearchallenge thing but here we are praising the lord for puberty and weight training 🤣 (tbh this is a lie cus this is 8.5 ish years- best I could do for a full length photo🤷♀️)
Not sure why I thought it was acceptable for my bra to be sticking out but at least my tan was half decent 😂😂!
I feel like you can tell in an odd way how much I have changed internally here rather than the obvious external changes. I remember back then being very weak minded and unsure of myself in every way. Needless to say, though i’m still not fully appreciative of how far I have come (capricorn life) I can appreciate what i’ve been through to get here☺️
P.s I flipped the photo on the left so hence the parting change
