Meal prep is complete! 💪🏼🙌🏼🎉 Today I made some Whole 30 Sweet Potato Spinach Turkey Burgers (new recipe) for a few lunches to put on salads and for dinners for the kids. I am freezing the rest of the Whole 30 Thai Coconut Curry Meatballs for lunches as well.
Another new recipe I made today was Paleo Sweet and Sour Chicken in the instant pot, I had some for lunch today over cauliflower rice and it was really good! I plan on having this for dinners as well this week.
Tonight we are having a Paleo Chicken Pot Pie, I will let you know how it is once I taste it! It looks and smells really good! 😅

POSITIVE HIGH ADVENTURE: MORI POINT
👣 Every Friday (if weather is good) I go to Mori Point to relax, clear my head and say hello & climb a couple of favorite my trees. I want to share this experience with you all .

Trying anything new takes time to finally get it to be a habit. It takes about 21 to 66 days to change a habit psychologically. It would take that amount of time to kick a food habit, like sugar addiction, too.. 🍫 Research is growing that dugar is poisoning us. Studies are proving sugar to the biggest cause of fatty liver, which leads to insulin resistance. This then can cause metabolic syndrome which leads to heart disease, diabetes and cancer. It's so hard to kick the sugar habit - it's in everything! So i focus on minimizing it with fatty options like avocado on toast, soda water rather than juice, and minimzing maple syrup and other sweeteners. 🍓This low sugar option of coconut parfaits is filling, a bit sweet and definitely good for you! 🍌🍌.
To make these simply make your favourite porridge:
🌸warmed up milk, added oats, cinnamon, protein powder and maple syrup
and add coconut yogurt and chia pudding
🌸one cup of milk with a quarter cup of chia seeds. Set aside and stie frequently for the first 10 minutes.
🌸 add natural food colourings and layer carefully. .
🌸 to remove any air bubbles or to create a whirlwind effect use a chopstick and stir gently where your bubbles are.

I get asked quite frequently about what workout split to follow and which one is the most effective. To be honest, there are so many answers to that question. I mean, a full body split, for example, is scientifically an effective and efficient split given how protein synthesis lasts about 48 hours post-workout so by working out the same muscle groups again 48 hours later, which you do in a full body split, you're maximizing this process. Other amazing splits include push/pull, push/pull/legs, and upper/lower splits. These splits allow you to gain a sufficient enough weekly volume without destroying your muscles in one single workout like you do in say a bro split. Bro splits aren't typically great from a scientific perspective for this reason along with the fact you train a muscle group once every 7 days which, to our point about protein synthesis above, is inefficient. Now science aside, the best split is the one you're going to stick to, the one that fits your schedule, and the one that you're going to enjoy the most. Don't be afraid of trying new splits every few months and see what your personal body reacts to best. For me, I have done full body and push/pull splits finding a lot of results with both though push/pull seems to be giving me the best bang for my buck. What split do you follow? Long story short, this shake has been MA LYFFFFF for the past month, and I am so happy it’s made all the difference to healing my gut - please click the link in bio to read the full post about HOW it helped me so much, but for now the SUPER simple concoction in a blender:
🥤1/2 frozen banana
🥤1 scoop vanilla protein powder 🥤2 tsp cocoa powder
🥤1 cup cold water 🥤2 tsp MALKOSAN 🥤1 tsp alkaline powder 🥤2 ice blocks .
