A couple of months ago, I was blessed with winning one of the contests held by @foundersoriginal#FoundersOriginal that rewarded me with a suit fitting experience @sorencustom#SorenCustom Not only was this blessing timely, but it was indeed an experience like none other I've had before in being fitted for a suit/tuxedo. From the moment we walked into the store, we were greeted warmly and promptly by Ida (Sales/Customer Experience), & 2 of the Co-Owners, Edwin and Mark. Meoshi @craftbeerphoenix Aamira, & I were treated to refreshments, and all of us were invited to make ourselves comfortable on their big leather couch (see the 2nd pic, which was taken by Meoshi📸👸🏽👌🏽). Once settled in, they took the time to get to know me, while telling me about themselves & their journey into the world of tailoring, before shaping out the itinerary for our visit. This alone put my mind at ease, while opening my eyes to the fact that they are not your average tailors, & this isn't just buying a suit, but it's truly an EXPERIENCE (as promised! 😉👌🏽). Being a family based business, it should be no surprise that this level of care is given to their customers, but it's truly their attention to detail, that separates them from their competition. Being that they also happen to be a #BlackOwnedBusiness I was inspired to feature them in my #BlackHistoryMonth#Beerventure (although our drink of choice was @foundersoriginal's #OldFashioned 🥃😎👌🏽) because they not only diversify their industry, but they've redefined excellence in seving a customer. If you're looking for something special for any occasion, and people who truly love their craft, look no further than @sorencustom 🥃 #TDotWinter#TDotDrinks#TorontoDrinks#Drinks#Cocktails#Bar#Liquor#MixedDrinks#Bourbon#BarrelAged#Whiskey#Whisky#Toronto#TorontoWest#Etobicoke#Suits#TailorMade#Instadrink#Drinkstagram#Drinktography of true gentlemen. Thanks again Edwin, Mark, & Ida for making my day that much more special. ❄☃️❄🎄🇨🇦✊🏽😎🥃🇨🇦🎄❄☃️❄
They now have a geo location!! (Don’t need to tag Kingsway Vancouver anymore 😂) Got my hands on the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea ($6) from #MeetSweet! Pearls came out pretty fresh in this drink, kinda reminded me of coco’s take on the #brownsugar drink. Besides from #bbt, their you gotta try their soft serve ice cream 🍦 #wheresmybbt
We just happen to be located right next to Charlie’s restaurant and bar, so you can grab a cocktail (like this Snickers Martini)🍸 while you’re here. Let our bartenders @mex_brad and @sheraejordon make you something your tastebuds will thank you for 👌🏼
Happy World Bartender Day!!! Celebrate the legends in this industry by heading into a local bar to try a World Bartender Day cocktail 🍸

One day late for national margarita day. First time visiting @legionbrewingsouthpark and let me tell y’all that it is amazing!!! We sat at the bar and had drinks while we waited for food and 4 people came up to us to ask what we were drinking (Blood Orange Amigo). We also ordered four different plates of food which were all equally delicious. Huge space, with lots of options for food and drinks!
@hnteagroup was a really spacious place with drinks that were just as great! Loved their concept of organic drinks, as each were of great quality. The Matcha Latte was definitely matcha dominant in the mix but in a good way and their Golden Black Tea Latte was really but a little too dark for my taste so I added a little more sugar! Definitely check this place out for high quality drinks and a nice place to chill/study! UwU
For National Margarita Day 2019, I suggested to that tag and mention @the_margarita_mum in your celebratory posts on the happiest day of the year! I promised I would share my favourite recipe on my feed and share as many Instagram stories as I could! There would also be one winner...
AND the winner is @mix.mann !!! His La Staranisa sounds like blood orange Brilliance. Head over to Harp’s page for the recipe!
🎊🎉 I have been so overwhelmed by the incredible support, tribute posts and absolute love from people all world ... I am blown away that people from all over the world thought of me .. @the__margarita_mum ...on one of the happiest days of the year!
You know why it means just so gawd darn much to me?
Because on my 40th birthday, I was lucky enough to celebrate in California and Mexico with @mr_margarita_mum and my daughters Hope & Dimity... I set myself a fun 21 day challenge to post a margarita pic everyday on my personal social media pages. My friends and family loved it. I had always been known as Help me Rhonda but I quickly became re-known as Marga-Rhonda and Rhonda-Rita! 🎉🎊
After this, my friends and family would always share their margarita experiences with me on social media. When they sipped a Marg, they thought of me! 🎉🎊
So I got to thinking, why not start a social media page just to share my love of Margaritas. And that was the beginning of @the_margarita_mum 🎉🎊
And now, I am celebrating with new friends, followers and truly fabulous people that have become like family to me ... and I just simply can’t thank you all enough. It’s been incredible. I will never forget this!
And from the words of Freddy Mercury and Queen.....Don’t Stop me now, I am having such a good time, I am having ball! 🎉🎊
Cheers...Salud ... and Gracias from the bottom of my margarita loving heart
Happy #Friyay guys and it’s an extra special one! Not only is it #nationalmargaritaday but today’s post is a collab with @tales_of_the_cocktail Foundation – a leading non-profit organisation that educates, advances and supports the global hospitality industry
The margarita is a classic sour cocktail and fan favourite for many, there are many claims towards its origins but no doubt on its composition. A #margarita is typically made up of 2 parts tequila, 1 part triple sec, 1 part lime with a touch of sugar / agave syrup
You can bend the rules as it allows for plenty of variation. We all have different taste buds so if you like it sour amp up the lime, or a bit sweeter add a touch more syrup. You can of course switch to smoky Mezcal, use different liqueurs / citrus / even glassware!
I’ve previously gone completely off-piste by creating a #Masalarita with plenty of spices, tea, and chilli heat. I was looking to riff this but when I finally spotted the first blood oranges in my little part of the UK my plans completely changed!
60ml Blood Orange Peel & Star Anise Infused @tequilaocho
30ml Fresh Blood Orange Juice
20ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml @cointreau Blood Orange Liqueur
1 teaspoon Orange Blossom Honey
3 dashes @bettersbitters Pineapple Star Anise Bitters
Garnish- Dehydrated blood oranges, mint leaves, dried pomegranate flowers, star anise
Infuse the peel of a whole blood orange, 1 star anise point, and 80ml tequila in a jar
Shake & leave in fridge for a 4-6hrs infusion (I expressed as much citrus oils as possible into the tequila before steeping)
Sieve the infused tequila into a shaker with ice, add other ingredients, shake for 15-20 secs then strain into a tumbler full of cracked ice, garnish and enjoy!
So on this special day enjoy a Margarita in your own especial way! For more amazing margaritas check out @the_margarita_mum
Spring is coming and we’ll be partying a lot with this cocktail.
“Grander Mint Julep”
2 oz Grander Rum
1/2 oz Pure Cane Syrup
4 Mint leaves
Muddle mint and pure cane syrup in a cocktail glass, then add crushed ice. Next, add rum, then stir a few times and garnish with mint sprig.
