Who’s scarier? The bonnethead’s taxonomical name is Sphyrna tiburo - “Sphyrna” for the Greek for “hammer” and “tiburo” being the Taíno word for “shark.” The Spanish word for large sharks is “tiburón,” which they clearly borrowed from the Taíno natives of the Caribbean; weirdly “cazón” is the appropriate Spanish word for small sharks like bonnetheads and not tiburón!
