Happy World Down Syndrome Day!! 💛♥️
It’s amazing how much a person with a Down Syndrome can teach you! I’ve been lucky enough to grow up with a sister who thought me everything about acceptance and how to live in the moment. She never judged anything or anyone and that’s the best role model you could ask for!
I’m honestly the most grateful for these people to exist because they are bringing so much pure LOVE to the World and I feel like we all need a little bit more of that in our lives 💛♥️ #love#downsyndrome#downsyndromerocks#acceptance#happiness#inspiration#happy#grateful#thankful#honesty#sister
🤸♀️⭐💕 Quite a view for doing some pilates, or yoga, or stretching... Or just look into the distance and be present in the moment🙏🧘♀️🎈 The last few days and mornings in Valle Gran Rey ... Just as i like it👌😻🤩 .
I wish everyone could know the blessing of loving someone with Down Syndrome, it is a kind of love that is very hard to describe to someone who hasn’t felt it and experienced it and been changed by it.
We recently watched the movie Christopher Robin and I was heavily struck by the part where Pooh says, “well I am a bear of very little brain.” And Christopher Robin responds, “No Pooh, you are I think a bear of very big heart.” With tears in my eyes I looked down at my Emma who was nestled up into me and I realized, in so many ways, she is my Pooh bear.
She sees the world differently and therefore the world sees her as different.
She takes things slower and truly enjoys and works harder for each moment, but her pace is often not accepted by our ever going, ever reaching world.
I am so saddened by the thought that some day she may come to the same conclusion as Pooh did and think of herself as less than others.
When in fact, that extra chromosome gives much more than it takes from her and others.
She is a little girl of very BIG heart and I believe she and her friends are blessings to this world. I believe God has given them to us to teach us how to see the world differently, to slow down and cherish every moment. To remind us that what truly matters is not what can be bought or succeeded at, but rather WHO we’re sharing this life with along the way. And if we let them, I believe they will teach us how to love in bigger ways than we ever could muster without their guidance.

* #totalbodycardiofix today!
I did have to modify from my #21dayfix schedule yesterday and squeeze in a 20 minute #transform20 workout due to limited time before work, but I still got in a great workout and I didn’t miss a day, so I’m not mad about it!
My to-do list is a mile long, and I have lots to do before I have to go to work at noon!
Have a great day everyone! #teamglitterlifefitness
📝 Diary of a Tamil makeup artist
I’m getting so many questions about my experience.
Let me share how it all started.
I’ve been been a professional makeup artist for almost 8 years now (time flies).
I was 12 when I told my mum about my passion and as most of the Tamil mums she got angry saying it’s not a job !
I never mentioned it again until I went to Business School and got my Master degree. But my passion was still in my mind and heart.
You know who was my 1st bride ? Me ! (Yes it’s me on the picture)
I decided to do my own makeup to see if I was able to become a MUA.
So I started my FB page with only my wedding pictures and.. voilà !
People started to book me but their mums were reticent « she’s so young ! She won’t be capable of doing everything. »
As you can imagine, it was not easy to convince them and this job wasn’t as trendy as it is now.
I was confident enough and I had the sweetest brides who encouraged me and recommended me to their friends.
Oh wait I forgot to add something : I also had 2 babies and was working until 8 months preggo (as I couldn’t imagine cancelling brides who booked me a year ago).
Feeling emotional right now .. such a crazy adventure !
Thank you to my husband, my number one supporter for believing in me since the beginning, pushing me to do what I love, and helping me with saree pleating (haha)
This wouldn’t have been possible without my brides who trusted me and every single person who booked me.
And thank you from the bottom of my heart to you guys for showing so much love, support and your lovely messages, likes, comments.
You can’t imagine how much it means to me !
Nothing worth than bringing some happiness to people ✨
I love you all ♥️ #ilovemyjob#thankful#grateful#blessed#diaryofamua
#TBT 1995. Canadian football league rookie, sharing this moment with my grandfather. Due to the lack of maturity, I wanted more out of football. I didn’t get what I wanted! However I did get what I needed! I’m thankful for EVERY jersey I was fortunate to wear as well as the opportunities that didn’t work out... 1.7-1.9 get paid to play football... I did that! #thankful#toodriven#notjustaballplayer
Thank You for being part of the Bristlecone Community!
Whether you're a Member, a regular customer, or have just been in to the Bristlecone Facility once or twice, we appreciate you! Amidst all of the social media posts we do about sales, classes and promotions, my husband Bryan and I wanted to take a breath and say "Thank You" to all of you. As the owners we work hard every day to improve your experience at our facility and move the business forward, while trying to make a positive impact on our community. But without all of you, we wouldn't be around. We are very grateful for your patronage and support.
So, if you come in to Bristlecone today or Friday, please help yourself to some cool SWAG from the manufacturers represented in our store and organizations we partner with as a small token of our appreciation. There's hats, shirts, eye/ear kits and more. First come, first served until we run out. 1 per customer please. Everything will be laid out behind the range counter.
it’s a beautiful thing to have lungs that allow you to breathe air and legs that allow you to climb mountains, and it’s a shame that sometimes we don’t realize that that’s enough. #thankful
