Куда можно сбежать из Берлина на денёк? Ну, кроме аутлета, конечно 😅 Мы посвятили целый день поездке в Потсдам. Погуляли по самому городу, центр очень похож на Юрмалу. Но, в Потсдам стоит ехать ради парка Сан-Суси, на территории которого располагаются сразу несколько дворцов. На первом и втором фото, сам дворец Сан-Суси, «виноградный дворец» Фридриха Великого. Это конечно не домик Петра I СПб, но, по меркам того времени, дворец очень даже скромный. На третьем фото Новый дворец, который был воздвигнут для официальных приёмов. Он уже роскошный, выполнен в стиле барокко, жаль, мы не попали во внутрь. На последнем фото Коммуны❤️ Изначально это были помещения для прислуги, а сейчас здания относятся к Потсдамскому университету. If someone said Kenya before I came here, I’d think only about the wildlife. I wouldn’t consider all of the other beautiful things such as the tribes and the stunning landscape. Второй день в Нюрнберге начинался вроде достаточно размеренно, пока Аэрофлот не прислал информацию по переносу рейса. Но надо отметить, что авиакомпания предоставила проживание в отеле, трансфер, ужин, завтрак и особо нервничать пассажиров не заставляла. Let Me Change My Shoes ... ... When my wife and I were dating we were invited to a cousin's wedding in Germany. Cash was tight and summer travel to Europe expensive but we decided to take the trip. On our day of departure a thunderstorm in New York delayed our departure and we ended up missing our connecting flight. ... ... After paying a ridiculous amount of money that we didn't have to change our flights we arrived in Germany well past midnight. At the airport we boarded a bus that would take us to Trier. We planed to spend two days there before joining my family for the wedding near Frankfurt. ... ... After an hour long ride we arrived at a dark and deserted industrial park on the outskirts of the city not at a bus station or central plaza as I had imagined. My initial thought was that this must be the first of multiple stops in Trier. Making use of my limited German I was able to gather that yes this was the last stop, no there were not any taxis, and downtown was "over that way." In a time before smart phones and ridesharing apps we were truly stranded with only a few euros in our pocket and a vague idea of how to walk toward the center city. ... ... Standing on the corner as our bus drove away all I could think was that our romantic getaway was anything but. I had taken it upon myself to plan the entire trip and while the missed flight and midnight arrival might not have been my fault, getting dropped off in the middle of an industrial park without a clue as to how to get to our hotel surely was. ... ... I turned, dejectedly to my girlfriend, but before I could say a word she smiled and said "Just give me a minute to change my shoes." ... ... Walking together we found our way to the hotel that night and three months later we were married. ... ... Verrückten Gedanken Platz in der Engstirnigkeit des Alltags zu verschaffen, ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil meines Lebens. Es gibt fast keinen Tag an dem ich mir nicht mit völlig wilden Gedanken ein Lächeln auf die Lippen zaubere. Träumen ist für mich wie tanzen: je hemmungsloser desto besser. . Indem ich mir selbst die Erlaubnis gebe in meinen Gedanken absolut frei zu sein und einfach mal rumzuspinnen, habe ich meinem Abenteuerherz die Wild Card zugespielt. Und egal wie verrückt eine Idee im ersten Moment auch klingen mag, die erste Frage die ich mir stelle lautet immer: . Wieso eigentlich nicht? . Knott's is one of the oldest amusement parks around and it's still going strong. Best of all, a season pass offers the most bang for the buck of any park. On any non-holiday period, the ride queue lines are short and manageable. That way one can spend time riding instead of standing and waiting. Therefore, Knotts doesn't need any line gimmicks as "Fastpass." Everyone in the family can enjoy some sort of ride from the tame to the extreme. Park founder Walter Knott was an impressive historian. The park was built around "Ghost Town", reminiscent of the American west in the 1800's. There is a museum of tools and artifacts from that golden era. There is also a real working blacksmith shop. Mr Knott also had a respect and appreciation of Indian heritage. Park vendors make and sell Indian jewelry and Indian attractions include live dancers and the Mystery Lodge. Outside the park and free to visitors is a full scale replica of Independence Hall. Inside is an automated presentation of the historic events that lead to American Independence. Очень спонтанно, нежданно, негаданно появилась необходимость слетать на пару дней в Баварию🏔. Нет, прокатиться на лыжах мне не удалось ⛷🏂, хотя веселые попутчики настойчиво предлагали поменять планы. Путешествие моё было достаточно коротким, но однозначно запоминающимся. В день прилета я постоянно опаздывала, на важную встречу бежала как угорелая🏃‍♀️, но все равно 🤷‍♀️ опоздала (опаздывать не люблю и обычно делаю это крайне редко). Затем проехала свою станцию и 30 минут ночью, в лесу, одна ждала поезд 🚊. Второй день начинался вроде достаточно размеренно, пока Аэрофлот не прислал информацию по переносу рейса. Но надо отметить, что авиакомпания предоставила проживание в отеле, трансфер, ужин, завтрак и особо нервничать пассажиров не заставляла. И вот наконец мы вылетели ✈️ и я могу выпить стакан белого вина 🥂. Очень надеюсь 🤞 на хорошую встречу со стороны Москвы 🏢😘

Hotel pool in Nusa Dua. The beach in much of the East coast of the Nusa Dua peninsula is not suitable for swimming. You see the waves breaking over the reef in the far distance. Today we tried out the 7km luge in Champex-Lac, Switzerland 🇨🇭 It was brilliant! 😂 Switzerland are renowned for their luging runs. I now know why! 🇨🇭 A real motley crew of sledges, we hooned down the 7km trail, taking the corners at brake speed. 🇨🇭 Gumball style you can bring your own ride or rent a sledge at @look_sport_champex just opposite the lift station. 🇨🇭 We were initially concerned about the lack of netting with sheer drops off the piste but this dissolved after the first run as we got to know the course (thank goodness the girls had helmets on!) 🇨🇭 The run is lovely & wide with enough speed to be fantastically exhilarating. 🇨🇭 Surprisingly it’s not a luge only piste! Yes! You share with skiers which makes an interesting last run of the day as the skiers join down the home run! 😂 🇨🇭 We loved it so much we did it 3 times! ❤️ 🇨🇭 All you need to pay for is the La Breya chairlift up, so CHF14/11/9 for one go or CHF 25/36/34 for all day limited. You can try it once if you’re unsure if your kids can handle it & then pay the difference to upgrade to unlimited all day. We touched down in Kenya yesterday morning and I couldn’t believe how close Nairobi National Park is to the city. We are nestled away in a quiet and secluded spot @audleytravel @theemakoko lodge. It’s a perfect distance from the airport in terms of starting a Kenyan adventure, especially if it’s been a long flight. We were picked up in an epic safari vehicle, the kids loved it, pulling up every time we saw something and sticking their head out of the roof ( Quinn needs to up his silence game 🙈)..Within minutes of entering the park, we saw zebras, giraffes, lions, ostrich and many other birds! Apparently it’s the closest game park to a city in the world. It’s insane to see a backdrop of skyscrapers with a few giraffe on the horizon for good measure.. We’ve taken the first day to chill, playing in the pool and eating amazing food before today gets busy with an epic itinerary! Just sitting by the pool there was so many little animals that came right up to us .. The kids are beyond excited .. If you haven’t heard of Audley Travel before they specialise in personalised trips to off the beaten track destinations. If someone said Kenya before I came here, I’d think only about the wildlife. I wouldn’t consider all of the other beautiful things such as the tribes and the stunning landscape. Kenya is so diverse in terms of experiences and now we are doing @travelmaddad favourite thing, hanging by the beach for our last few days @severintravelafrica Sea Lodge. Esmé was collecting up the frangipani’s on the lawn last night and we spent literally ALL day going on the slide in the pool. We’ve done the same again today whilst Shaun is gone for a dive. I’m getting my turn tomorrow 🤣... Do you take turns doing activities if you travel with your other half? Or if travelling by yourself with kids do you tee up a babysitter to be able to do a little something for yourself.. Also how grown up does Esmé look in this photo 🙈😭.. where is my baby girl 👱🏻‍♀️
